An Opportunity to Make a Difference
The End Poverty Plus Event is a fun opportunity for people to make a difference in our community!
Based on the parameters of the COVID Response plan, this community event includes:
Drives collecting food and other goods for local beneficiaries
Tournaments (sand volleyball, cornhole)
All the proceeds raised from this event go to benefit amazing organizations working to lift people out of poverty. The non-profit beneficiaries for the 2020 event are listed below.
Westerville Area Resource Ministry provides food, financial counseling, and job search support. Throughout the last four decades, WARM has provided millions of meals, logged thousands of volunteer hours and connected hundreds of clients to their jobs.
Out of Darkness
Out of Darkness is on the frontlines every day reaching, rescuing, and restoring women who’ve been caught in human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation.
CHLOE's mission is to empower young moms by providing Community, Health, Life Skills, Opportunities, and Education to become self-sufficient, resilient and adaptable; preventing and breaking cycles of poverty through mentorship, education and safe haven in our community.
Vosh recycles old prescription eye-ware for use in developing countries, giving the gift of vision to people who have no other way to receive vision correction.
In cooperation with WARM, Quest helps identify WARM’s clients who may be most in need through their Thanksgiving Meal Outreach and invites them to a personalized coat fitting time for their family. We also get additional referrals from local school counselors for children, youth and families in need of warm clothing.”
